Celebrating The Power of Love & Care
'Durga & Friends', an initiative of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers to bring back hope and happiness in the lives of the abandoned girl child, is all about celebrating the power of love and care.
There are fifteen of them - 10 girls and 5 boys, aged between 5 to 13, staying in a shelter-home at Haltu, Kolkata, and studying in a local school (Classes 1 to 6)
Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers has been holding their hands and standing by their side - for the last eight years - by supplementing their nutritional needs, contributing study material and sports-kits and providing training for extra-curricular activities and yoga for all round development of mind and body.
